Playoffs

2006 Season - Playoff Game #4 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ Kitchener-Waterloo Braves
Thursday July 20th, 2006
In game #4 of this opening round of playoffs, the Arrows Express returned to the
Waterloo Rec Centre tonight in hopes of eliminating the Braves from the post season.
With a strangle hold on the series, the Arrows Express would take to the floor tonight
without the services of Cody Jamieson, Sid Smith, Kent Squire, Kevin Bucktooth JR, and
Jeremy Thompson, all of whom were away at the World Field Lacrosse Championships playing
for the Iroquois Nationals. The stage was set for the some new faces to be inserted into
the lineup, and show Coach Chrysler that they could get the job done in the absence of
the veterans.
In the first period, the Braves would come out strong for the second straight game.
Just 50-seconds into the period they would score to make it 1 - 0. Two minutes later,
at 2:16, their spirited play would trigger another goal, on the adjusting Arrows Express,
to make it 2 - 0. As the Arrows Express team continued to struggle a bit, the Braves
would take full advantage of the new faces in the lineup, and they would strike for a
third time at 3:48, to take a 3 - 0 lead. At 4:29, the Braves would continue to push
hard on the Arrows Express, and they would be rewarded with a goal to take a 4 - 0 lead.
The Arrows Express would finally seem to get situated, and at 13:54, Mitch Nanticoke
would finally score for the Arrows Express to bring the score to 4 - 1. The Braves
riding high from their spirited play, were once again happy to score the final goal of
the period, at 14:28, they would take a 5- 1 lead on the Arrows Express, and that is
how the period would end. The teams would head off the floor for the intermission with
the Arrows Express looking to find a way to get back on track and into this game.
In the second period, the Arrows Express would try to get things rolling as Cody Jacobs
would find a hole in the Braves defense, and beat the goaltender at 2:26, to bring the
Arrows Express closer at 5 - 2. The Braves would reply to that goal with one of their
own at 3:05, to restore their 4 goal lead at 6 - 2. A minute later at 4:45, Cody Jacobs
would score his second of the night, to make it 6 - 3. Thing would get interesting at
this point, as Craig Point would score at 8:53, to make it 6 - 4. Then at 13:19, Craig
Point would score again to bring the Arrows Express within one at 6 - 5. Before the
period would end, Cody Jacobs would complete his hat trick at 17:53, to tie the game at
6 - 6. With the Arrows Express fighting hard to gain control of the game, and their
offense seeming to pick it up, the period would end, with the score still tied at 6 - 6.
Both teams would head to the dressing room to prepare for the third period.
In the third period, it would be the Arrows Express coming out strong, looking confident
and ready to put an end to the Braves 2006 season. At 6:24, Kyle Schmelzle, would give
the Arrows Express a 7 - 6 lead. Then at 7:10, Cody Jacobs would score his fourth goal
of the game to give the Arrows Express a two goal lead, at 8 - 6. Then it happened, with
the Arrows Express looking to hold onto a two goal lead, and end the Braves season, the
Braves would surge and look to battle back into the game. With exactly 8:00 minutes
remaining in the game, the Braves would score to make it 8 - 7. A minute and a half
later, with 6:30 remaining, they would score to once again tie the game at 8 - 8. The
Arrows Express once again looked to be a team that got rattled. Before long, with 4:12
remaining the period, the Braves would strike to take the lead at 9 - 8. As the Arrows
Express tried to regroup and score the games next goal, the Braves would find themselves
with the hot hand, as they would strike with just 1:58 remaining in the game to take a
10 - 8 lead. That would be all it took on this night as the Arrows Express would be
able to score again, and a determined Braves club would get their first victory in this
series.
With the veteran players wrapping up their obligations to the Iroquois Nationals on
Saturday, we can look for a very different Arrows Express lineup on Sunday evening at
the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena, when these two teams will meet again. With the Arrows
Express still holding a 3 games to 1 lead in the series, it will be extremely difficult
for the Braves to come into the ILA and extend the series. But as we all know now,
strange things do sometimes happen. Game time is 7 pm, and I am sure the Arrows Express
team would love to have all their fans there in their orange shirts and bringing back
that playoff atmosphere.

2006 Season - Playoff Game #3 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Kitchener-Waterloo Braves
Tuesday July 18th, 2006
In game #3 of the post season, the Arrows Express awaited the return to the
Iroquois Lacrosse Arena tonight, the visiting Kitchener-Waterloo Braves. After
scoring a second victory over the Braves at the Waterloo Rec Centre the night
before last, the Arrows Express were eager to get the third game underway.
In the first period, the Braves would come out strong and strike for the first
goal of the game just 28-seconds into the opening period. It would take the
Arrows Express a few moments once again to get things rolling, but they would
reply at 3:32, on a goal by Jerome Thompson, to tie the game at one goal apiece.
As the Braves continued to fight hard to try and gain any momentum they could,
their efforts would pay off at 4:04, when they would score to take a 2 - 1 lead.
As the Arrows Express seemingly continued to let the Braves play their game, the
period would finally come to an end, and the teams would head to the dressing rooms
with the Braves holding a 2 - 1 lead.
In the second period, it would be Craig Point scoring his first goal of the game
to tie the score once again at 2 - 2, just 1:10 in the period. It would seem the
Arrows Express were ready to take control of the game, but once again the Braves
would manage to find a hole in the defense and score to take the lead once more at
4:04, they would make it 3 - 2. This was finally the goal that set the Arrows
Express straight, almost immediately they would start to take control of the game,
and at 5:50, Mitch Nanticoke would once again tie the game, his goal making it 3 - 3.
Six minutes of lacrosse would pass, as the Braves continued to battle strong against
the powerful Arrows Express, but as they have done many times this season, the defense
and goaltender Grant Crawley shut the door for the rest of the evening. At 11:38,
Logan Kane would score to give the Arrows Express their first lead of the evening at
4 - 3. With the final minute of play coming, it would be Cody Jacobs scoring with
59-second remaining in the period, to give the Arrows Express a 5 - 3 lead, before
the buzzer would sound and the teams would head off the floor for the second
intermission.
In the third period, the Braves would continue to battle hard, but on this night
Grant Crawley and the Arrows Express defense were not having any of it. Cody Jacobs
would score as the period just pass the midway point at 10:15, to extend the lead to
6 - 3. Just under three minutes later, at 13:08, Craig Point would score what would
be the games final goal to set the final score at 7 - 3. The Arrows Express defense
and offense would take the remainder of the game, to continually frustrate the Braves
at both ends of the floor. As the buzzer would sound to end the game, the Arrows
Express must look for a way to get into these games much quicker. The Braves might
have finished in 8th place this season, but as everyone in sports knows, strange
things can happen in the playoffs.
With a 3 games to 0 lead in this best of seven series, the Arrows Express will travel
to the Waterloo Rec Centre on Thursday night in hopes of ending this series.
Game time is 8 pm.

2006 Season - Playoffs Game # 2 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ Kitchener-Waterloo Braves
Sunday July 16th, 2006
In game #2 of the 2006 post season, the Six Nations Arrows Express traveled to
Kitchener to take on the Braves. After a convincing victory in the first game
of the series, it would be a tough battle for the Braves to try and get some
momentum in the series. With a few of the Arrows Express players dividing their
time with the Iroquois Nationals at the World Field Lacrosse Championships and the
Arrows Express, it was time to step up and show that they could handle the extra
lacrosse being played this week.
In the opening period, it would be Kitchener striking with the first goal as exactly
two minutes had expired in the period to take a 1 - 0 lead. With that goal, and the
Arrows Express trying to regain the momentum from the previous game, Kitchener would
put up a spirited effort and it would pay off with the second goal of the game at
7:39, and the Braves would find themselves with a 2 - 0 lead. Another minute later,
and the Braves gathering some momentum, they would find the back of the net once
again at 8:38, for a 3 - 0 lead. This would signal the end of the evening for
goaltender Grant Crawley, as Coach Chrysler would send in Ben VanEvery to take over
for the rest of the contest. This move would once again send out a wake-up call to
the Arrows Express, as Cody Jamieson would get the Arrows Express on the board at 11:13
to narrow the gap to 3 - 1. With the Arrows Express finally starting to find their game
once again, Lee Thomas would strike at 13:15 to make it a one goal game at 3 - 2. A
minute later Craig Point would find the back of the Kitchener net at 14:47 to tie the
game at 3 goals each. With just 1:53 remaining the period it would be Cody Jamieson
putting the Arrows Express in the lead for the first time with his second goal of the
game. The teams would play out the period, and when the buzzer sounded to end the period,
the Arrows Express would head to the dressing room with a 4 - 3 lead.
As the teams hit the floor for the second period, it would be Cody Jamieson striking for
the first goal of the period at 2:58. His hat trick completing goal would give the Arrows
Express a 5 - 3 lead. The Arrows Express would continue take control of the game, as
Kent Squire would score the games next goal at 5:51, to extend the Arrows Express lead
to 6 - 3. As the teams continued to battle back and forth, it would be Jerome Thompson,
scoring at 10:36, to give the Arrows Express a four goal lead at 7 - 3. Just ten seconds
later at 10:46, the Braves would finally stop the Arrows Express scoring streak at 7
unanswered goals to narrow the gap to 7 - 4. The Braves would continue to battle hard,
trying to find a way back into this game, and at 12:04, they would score again to make
it 7 - 5. Isaiah Kicknosway would later restore the three goal lead, as his goal at 18:10,
would make it 8 - 5, and finish the scoring for the second period. The teams would head
off the floor for the second intermission with the Arrows Express leading the way, and
carrying much of the momentum of this game.
In the third period, the Braves would need to get something going if they hoped to have a
chance at stealing a game from the powerful Arrows Express. With a goal at 2:49, they
would narrow the gap to 8 - 6, and give themselves some hope. As the Arrows Express defense
has done so many times this season they would start to make things very difficult for the
opposing offense. The Arrows Express offense would also seem to falter, and relax maybe
to early in this game, as at 11:19, the Braves would score again to make it a one goal
game at 8 - 7 with plenty lacrosse left to play. This would once again signal team
captain Sid Smith and his defense to tighten up and let goalie Ben VanEvery see
everything coming his way. With this job in some very capable hands the Arrows Express
would continually stop the Braves offense from getting that tying goal. Finally at 18:18,
Craig Point would score the insurance goal the Arrows Express needed, to set the final
score at 9 - 7.
With this victory the Arrows Express now have a 2 - 0 lead in this best of seven
series. Game # 3 is schedule for Tuesday night at the Iroquois Lacrossse Arena,
with the game set to get underway at 8:00pm.

2006 Season - Playoff Game # 1 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs. K-W Braves @ ILA
Friday July 14th, 2006
After successfully defending their regular season title, the Arrows Express are
now set to begin defending the Eastern Canadian Championship they earned last season.
The playoffs begin tonight and the first round opponent is the Kitchener-Waterloo Braves.
As with any first round of playoffs the Braves find themselves in a very lopsided
position, after finishing in 8th place, they get the dubious task of taking on the
top team in the regular season, your, Six Nations Arrows Express. A determined Arrows
Express team enters this seasons playoffs with much to prove, after last years Minto
Cup fiasco. That was a year ago, and now the Arrows Express is ready to start rolling
through the post season, as they start on their march to the Minto Cup.
In the first period, the Arrows Express looked to be a team with much on their minds.
It would not be until 8:32, when the Braves opened the scoring that it would seem to
dawn on the Arrows Express they were in the playoffs. With the bell finally rung, and
the wake call issued, the Arrows Express got down to business. Four minutes later, at
12:53, it would be Mitch Nanticoke bringing the game to a 1 - 1 tie. For the remainder
of the period both teams would try and gain the momentum, but the buzzer to end the first
period would sound and both teams would head off the floor for the first intermission.
The Braves had to be the much happier team, as they had managed to stick with the top team
through the first twenty minutes.
It would only take 1:22 of play in the second period, for Hughie Johnson to give the Arrows
Express a 2 - 1 lead. Five minutes later, at 6:23, Cody Jacobs would extend the lead to
3 - 1, and the Arrows Express had control of the game. At 12:28, Hughie Johnson would strike
again to make it 4 - 1. Finally at 12:52, Jeremy Thompson would score the periods final goal,
and the Arrows Express had a 5 - 1 lead and all the momentum they would need in this game.
After a spirited final 7-minutes, the buzzer would sound to end the second period, and the
teams would head off to their dressing rooms with the score at 5 - 1.
In the third period, the Braves would try to battle back, but it would just not be on this
night. The period would near the midway point before Mitch Nanticoke would score his second
of the game at 9:27 to give the Arrows Express a 6 - 1 lead. The final goal of the game would
come from the stick of Jon Williams at 10:25, to set the final score at 7 - 1. After scoring
the games opening goal, the Braves found it very tough going from that point on, as the Arrows
Express defense and goaltender Ben VanEvery would shore up and stop anything thrown their way.
With game #1 in the books, the Arrows Express now hold a 1- 0 series lead in this opening
round, best of seven series against the K-W Braves. Game #2 is in Kitchener on
Sunday at 2pm.

Game #1 - Season Opener
Sunday May 7th, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express lacrosse team is ready to take the floor the 2006 lacrosse season. After
successfully defending the Eastern Canadian Championship in the 2005 lacrosse season, the Arrows Express
find themselves playing with the ultimate dream within hands reach at the end of the season. The Six
Nations Arrows Express lacrosse team and the Six Nations community have been chosen to host the 2006
Minto Cup Tournament. This tournament is the crown jewel of amateur lacrosse in Canada. With an
automatic berth into the tournament as the host community, the Arrows Express find themselves not only
wanting to win the Minto Cup on their home floor, but they also want to prove an automatic berth is not
what they needed.
The Six Nations Arrows Express will find they have a very heavy load to carry throughout the 2006 lacrosse
season. Along with the job of defending the 2005 Eastern Canadian Championship once again, they will also
have a much tougher road to travel this season. As with defending any title, the Arrows Express will find
themselves facing an opponent every single game wanting the opportunity to show they can play with the best.
The Arrows Express have proven in the last two seasons that they are the team to beat, they are the
defending Eastern Canadian Champions, and if they hope to three-peat in 2006, every single time they step
foot on the lacrosse floor this season, they have to be prepared to show everyone why they are that team.
The goals that lie ahead of this 2006 Six Nations Arrows Express team can be nothing less than to be crowned
the regular season top team, win the Ontario Title (Eastern Canadian Champions) in the playoffs, and capture
the most sought after trophy in Canadian Junior ‘A’ lacrosse, the Minto Cup, in front of their hometown fans
at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
Season Opener - Arrows Express 6 - Ottawa Titans 8
Sunday May 7th marks the beginning of the 2006 lacrosse season for the Arrows Express. It is a home game at
the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena and the first opponent of the season is the Ottawa Titans. Just last season the
Titans faced the Arrows Express in the Ontario playoffs, and they showed at that time, they are just not
another weak new franchise team. As they would force the Arrows Express to six games in the opening round
last season. This afternoon they delivered notice again that they are not to be taken lightly. Led by the
strong goaltending of 2005’s Rookie Of The Year, Justin Delormier, the Ottawa Titans managed to do something
very few teams in the past have been able to accomplish, they played a strong disciplined game, and beat the
hometown Arrows Express by a score of 8 - 6 on the floor of the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. While the Arrows
Express played without the services of many returning veterans, nothing can be taken away from the job that the
team from Ottawa came and did to get the victory.
The first period would see the Arrows Express show the signs of early season rust, as this was the first game
for many of the players, and with some faced paced action end to end, the Arrows Express and Titans would head
to the dressing rooms after 20 minutes, tied at 1 goal apiece.
In the second period things would seemingly come unwound for the Arrows Express, as they would allow the Titans
to outscore them 6 - 3 in the middle period. Not even a goalie change by the Arrows Express sending in Ben
Vanevery for Grant Crawley would spark any change in the team. Ottawa would continue to gather momentum and
leave the floor at the second intermission with a comfortable 7 - 4 lead.
In the final period, the Arrows Express would start to find their game, but unfortunately for the home team on
this Sunday afternoon it would be too little, too late. The Arrows Express would score two goals to close the
gap to one goal with about 7:00 minutes remaining, but it would not be enough, as the Titans would gain control
of the ball with the Arrows Express playing without a goalie in favor of an extra attacker, they would run down
the floor and score an empty net goal to set the final score at 8 - 6.
The leading point getters in this game for the Arrows Express were: Clayton Staats (1 goal, 3 assists), Lee
Thomas (2 goals), Kyle Point (1 goal, 1 assist), Matt Myke (2 assists). Single point getters were : Dan Hill
(1 goal), Mitch Nanticoke (1 goal), and Murray Porter (1 assist).
It is just the beginning of the season, but the Arrows Express will look ahead to their next match. Their next
chance to get their first victory of 2006, will be on Tuesday May 16th when they travel to take on the Whitby
Warriors in Whitby. If history is any indicator then this should be an excellent match that both teams will be
ready for. I am sure last seasons Ontario Finals, and the 7 games it took to decide a champion, will still be
fresh in both teams minds as they take the floor for game #2 of the Arrows Express’ 2006 lacrosse season.

2006 Season - Game #2 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ Whitby Warriors
Tuesday May 16th, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express made the journey to the Iroquois Sports Complex in Whitby to take on the
hometown Warriors in the second game of this young 2006 season. With a number of players returning to
the lineup after completing their scholastic requirements at Onondaga Community College, the Arrows
Express roster instantly received some bolstering. Veterans returning to the lineup for the contest
were Cody Jamieson, Craig Point, Kent Squire, and Sid Smith. These four young men had helped the OCC
complete a perfect season and capture a National Title for the school. Now they are back with Arrows
Express and it is time to get back to work on defending the Ontario Title they all worked so hard for
last summer as Arrow Express players.
In the opening minutes of this game, it would seem that the Arrows Express were poised to take complete
control. Before the game was a minute old they would hold a 2 - 0 lead, on goals by Lee Thomas and Cody
Jamieson. The passes were crisp and clean, and the Warriors were seemingly caught mesmerized by the ball
movement that seemed to have them spinning. The Warriors would score a goal at the 3-minute mark and
things would tighten up drastically as the Warriors started to pound the Arrows Express offence. At the 14
minute mark of the first, the Arrows Express would score another goal to run the lead to 3 - 1, on goal by
Cody Jamieson, and it would seem that from this point the Arrows Express would let the Warriors start to
take control of the game. With time winding down in the period and the intensity between these two teams
starting to rise, a spirited fight broke out between the Arrows Express’ Tory Gardener, and the Warriors
Ian Crashley. Both players would trade a few punches and the benches of both teams would bang their sticks
to congratulate the boys on a good tussle that could only be called a draw. The teams would head to the
dressing rooms at the first intermission with the Arrows Express holding a 3 - 1 lead.
In the second period the Arrows Express and Warriors would reverse the scoring trend, as the Warriors would
outscore the Arrows Express in the middle frame 3 - 1. The Warriors continued to gain momentum in this
period, and their defense would continue to punish the Arrows Express offence players with solid cross
checking. The Arrows Express who started the game with such intensity would continue to see it wane as this
period progressed. The Warriors would score two early goals to tie the game, before the Arrows would
regain the lead on a goal by Cody Jamieson as six minutes had expired in the period. Before this period
would end the Warriors tied the game once again, and they would carry the momentum in the dressing room for
intermission with the scored tied at 4-4.
In the third period, both teams would score 4 goals, but it would be the Warriors carrying the momentum most
of the way. The Warriors would score the first three goals of the period, to take a 7 - 4 lead. But it would
not be long before the Arrows Express would start to battle back. Cody Jamieson would spark things by
mixing things up with the Warriors Jay Winder. Jamieson would quickly remove Winders helmet and land a few
punches, convincing Winder that maybe he had picked the wrong Arrow player to drop the mitts with. This fight
was over quickly as Cody wasted no time in showing that he is not just an offensive player, and he can hold
his own. On the way to the penalty box Cody gave his opponent a gracious pat on the back, and a thanks for
coming out. After serving his five minutes, and as the mid-way point approached Cody Jamieson would complete
his hat trick, and cut the Warriors lead to 7-5. A minute later the Warriors would restore the 3-goal cushion,
and take an 8 - 5 lead. With just over 5 minutes remaining in the game the Arrows would start to battle back
into this game. A second goal by Lee Thomas would bring the score to 8 - 6. Three minutes later Craig Point
would cut the lead to 8 - 7, and with just 1:14 left in the third period Kent Squire would even up the score
once again at 8 - 8. The teams would take a short break on the floor to prepare for the overtime period.
In the overtime period, Cody Jamieson would score his fourth goal of the game as one minute expired, to put
the Arrows Express in the lead at 9 - 8. This would be the last lead the Arrows Express would see as the
Warriors would dig a little deeper and score the next four goals to win the game by a final score of 12 - 9.
The Arrows Express have a 2 day break to regroup and get things on the right track before heading to
Orangeville to take on the Northmen Friday night. The next home game is the annual Bread and Cheese day game
on the May 22. This year the visiting team will be the Peterborough Lakers for a contest that always has one
of the biggest turnouts of the season.

2006 Season - Game #3 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ Orangeville Northmen
Friday May 19th, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express traveled to Orangeville to take on the Northmen. In a contest that featured two
of the top junior lacrosse teams in Ontario, the Arrows Express would once again continue their dominance over
the Northmen and gain their first victory of the 2006 season. In a game that could have gone either way, the
Arrows Express flexed some muscle, and showed some grit as they held off a late surging Northmen team in the
Tony Rose Arena.
The first period would open with the Arrows Express striking first on a goal by Kent Squire as two minutes had
expired in the period. The Northmen would rally to tie the game about a minute later. It would be Huey Johnson
that would put the Arrows Express back into the lead as just over 5 minutes had been played in the game. It
would be short lived once again as just 30 seconds later the Northmen would tie it up again. Things would
go into a stale mate for over 5 minutes as both teams closed up defensively, but then just past the six minute
mark, Jeremy Thompson would score his first goal of the game, to put the Arrows Express into the lead with just
8-minutes remaining the opening period. It would be just over 2-minutes later that Sid Smith would extend the
Arrow Express lead to 4 - 2. Cody Jacobs would also score before the period ended pushing the lead to 5 - 2,
and that is the way the teams would head to the dressing rooms for the first intermission.
As play resumed in the second period, it would be Jeremy Thompson scoring his second of the game as it
approached 2-minutes being played. This goal pushed the Arrows Express lead to 6 - 2. Another stretch of back
and forth action, until Craig Point would bury a shot as 7-minutes had expired in the second period, this goal
would extend the Arrows Express lead to 7 - 2. Orangeville would then strike for the next two goals of the game
to narrow the lead to 7 - 4. But just 8-seconds later Craig Point would strike back for the Arrows Express
pushing the lead back to a four goal difference at 8 - 4. Two more goals for Orangeville would see the score
reach 8 - 6, as the home team tried to start a rally, but it would be Lee Thomas scoring with just under a
minute and a half left in the period, to extend the lead to 9 - 6, and that is how the second period would end.
The third period would see a determined Northmen squad come back on to the floor, and they would score the first
two goals of the period to narrow the gap to 9 - 8, and the home town fans were thinking of a comeback with
plenty of lacrosse left to play as almost 17-minutes remained in this now 1-goal game. Unknown to everyone in
the building, all the remaining goals in the third period would come from the sticks of the Arrows Express.
Jeremy Thompson would complete his hat trick just over a minute after the Northmen closed the gap to 1-goal,
this goal putting the Arrows Express in to the lead at 10 - 8. It would be 12-minutes of lacrosse later before
Jeremy would score his 4th goal of the game to push the lead to 11-8. With just 3-seconds remaining in the game
Lee Thomas would score his second of the game to bring the final score to 12 - 8 for the Arrows Express. After
this goal things would get exciting as Dave Ellis would get into a tilt with the Northmen’s Andrew Suitor. It was
a spirited tilt that seen Dave show once again why he is a contender in the heavy weight division in this league.
As this scrap was ending, Arrow Express rookie Tory Gardener, and Northmen, Glen Bryan would engage in their own
battle. Tory made short work in showing the Northmen player that he had bitten off quite a bit more than he could
chew this night. After landing a number of solid shots to his opponent’s face and head, the refs decided it was
time for Tory to join Dave in the Arrow Express dressing room.
A great game was played by the Arrows Express to get their first win of the 2006 season, against a very tough
opponent. This Arrows Express team seems to be improving every time they step on the floor. It is a long season ahead
of them, and there is plenty of work to be done if they hope to capture the Ontario Title for a third straight year.
The next game will be the Annual Bread and Cheese day game at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena, where the visiting team
will be the 4 - 0, Peterborough Lakers. Game time is 4:00pm.

2006 Season - Game #4 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ Peterborough Lakers
Tuesday May 23rd, 2006
After the postponement of their first match, just over 24 hours prior, the Arrows Express and Lakers got down
to business last night at the Peterborough Memorial Arena. It was the first meeting of the teams in the 2006
season, and the undefeated Lakers looked to be ready to run their record to five wins in a row in the early
going of this game. With Arrows Express showing the offensive star of the Lakers, Shawn Evans, the attention
he deserves. The job of shutting him down would be handled very effectively by Arrows Express defensive star,
Sid Smith. Coming into the game boasting a hefty 6 points per game average, Sid did an excellent job of not
letting Evans have any breathing room on the floor.
It would be the Lakers that would score first, as the game neared 5 minutes of playing time. They would score
again at the 7 minute mark to take the lead to 2 - 0. But then the Arrows Express started to come alive. As
they shook off their bus legs, and got to playing their game, Cody Jamieson would cut the Lakers lead in half
with his first goal of the night, at the midway point of the period. Just 30 seconds later Jamieson would tie
the game at the 10 minute mark. This would be the last time the Lakers would be tied with the Arrows Express
on the night. Three minutes later at the 13-minute mark of the period Isiah Kicksnosway would score to put the
Arrows Express in the lead. Cody Jacobs would end the scoring of the first period at the 18-minute mark, to put
the Arrows Express in the lead 4 - 2 as the teams headed off the floor for the first intermission.
Just over the one minute mark of the second period Cody Jamieson would complete his hat trick, as the Arrows
Express would score their 5th unanswered goal, running the lead to 5 - 2. Cody Jamieson would show he was not done
on this night as the 5-minute mark of the period approached, he would score his 4th of the game, and the Arrows
Express would lead 6 - 2. As the period neared the 7-minute mark, the Arrows Express’ newest addition would score
his first goal in his new uniform, David Lomas, formerly of the Burlington Chiefs would score the Arrows Express’
7th unanswered goal, and run the lead to 7 - 2. Just over a minute later as the clocked neared the 8-minute old
mark, Kyle Point, a call-up from the Six Nations Rebels would score the 8th unanswered goal for the Arrows Express,
and the game would seemingly become out of reach for the now frustrated Lakers team, as they would look up at the
score board and see the Arrows Express leading 8 - 2. As the crowd settled in for almost 1o minutes of scoreless
lacrosse, the players would increasingly begin to slip and slide on the floor of the Memorial Arena. With just over
2-minutes left to play in the period the Lakers would finally manage to score a goal, ending the Arrows scoring
parade at 8 unanswered goals, the teams would leave the floor with the Arrows Express holding a comfortable 8 - 3 lead.
Into the third period, the Lakers had managed to stop the Arrows Express scoring streak, and it would be the Lakers
once again scoring to start the 3rd period. Just as a minute and a half of play was approaching, they would start
to narrow the Arrows Express lead, and make the score 8 - 4. Five minutes later, they would strike again making the
score 8 - 5. One minute later the Lakers would strike for their 4th consecutive goal, and the lead would be narrowed
to 8 - 6, and they were not finished there. Just one minute later, as just over 8-minutes had expired in the period,
they would score their 5th unanswered goal, to narrow the once comfortable lead to 8 - 7. Finally it was time for
Cody Jamieson to pick his team up once again, just 28 seconds after the Lakers closed the gap to one goal, Cody
Jamieson would score his 5th goal of the game, and effectively seal the fate of the Lakers on this night, as he
widened the margin back to 9 - 7. A few more moments would pass before Kent Squire would score his first goal of the
contest, and the Arrows Express were back in control with less than 9-minutes remaining in the period, the score would
be 10-7. As the 16-minute mark of the period approached, the Lakers would manage to score their final goal of the
game, to make the score 10-8. But it would not be enough as Clayton Staats would round out the scoring with just over
two minutes remaining to make the final score 11 - 8 for the Arrows Express. As the final minutes ticked away on the
clock, the Lakers would try pulling their goalie on each possession, and the Arrows Express were satisfied using the
full thirty second clock on each possession as the game ended. An excellent job was done tonight by the entire Arrows
Express defense. Sid Smith was particularly effective in limiting the chances that Shawn Evans would create on this night.
Following the lead of Sid, the rest of the Arrows Express defense stepped up when needed and they would continually
deflect and intercept passes all evening.
The Six Nations Arrows Express team will next take the floor at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena on this coming Friday
night, when they will host the Burlington Chiefs. Game time is 8:00pm. This is the beginning of a small home
stand for the Arrows Express who will play their next 4 games in the confines of the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.

2006 Season - Game # 5 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Burlington Chiefs.
Friday May 26th, 2006
In the first of four upcoming home games the Six Nations Arrows Express made short work of the visiting Burlington
Chiefs at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena on Friday night. In a game that was never in doubt the Arrows Express showed
the visiting Chiefs exactly what is takes to be a top contender in the Junior A league. While the team from
Burlington found themselves over matched by the defending Ontario Champions, the Chiefs did manage to stay focused
and play lacrosse during much of the game. It was just not a good night for anyone in a Burlington uniform, as
the Arrows Express coming off a few days rest, and with a complete lineup, had the Chiefs looking simply
overwhelmed for much of the game. With the Arrows Express just starting to gel as a team once again, it was just
unlucky for the Chiefs to have to face the Arrows Express on a night when they were firing on all cylinders.
It is not to take anything away from the Chiefs, but the Arrows Express are just a much more complete team, and
tonight the results were very clear to that fact.
In the first period it would be the Arrows Express getting things started as Craig Point scored the first goal of
the game as just over two minutes had expired on the clock. Next up just over three minutes later, Clayton Staats
would push the score to 2 - 0 for the Arrows Express. As things progressed in the game, it would start to become
very apparent that the Chiefs defense would be able to do very little to stop the Arrows Express offense. Crisp
ball movement, and plenty of high percentage shots, would have the Chiefs defense often flat footed as the Arrows
continued to make themselves scoring opportunities. It would be Cody Jamieson scoring the third goal, and
eventual game winner, as about six and a half minutes had been played, but the Arrows Express were far from done
scoring on this night. Goals by Mitch Nanticoke, as 7-minutes has expired, and Craig Point with his second at the
midway point of the period would increase the lead to 5 - 0. Two minutes later Logan Kane would score to extend
the lead to 6 - 0. Just over a minute later Cody Jacobs would score his first of the game, to make the score
7 - 0. As another minute ticked off the clock the Chiefs would finally get one on the scoreboard as fourteen and
half minutes had been played in the period. With about one and half minutes left in the period Logan Kane would
score his second of the game, to send the teams into the first intermission with the Arrows Express holding an
8 - 1 lead.
Things would not get any better for Burlington in the second period, as the Arrows Express would hold them off
the score sheet, while scoring 11 unanswered goals. Craig Point would complete his hat trick, just 33-seconds
into the period, making the score 9 - 1. Just 28 seconds after that Chris Courtney would score to make it
10 - 1. As the Arrows Express continued to find their groove, things just got worse for the Chiefs. Cody
Jamieson would score his second of the game at the three and half minute mark. Clayton Staats scoring his
second of the game also as 4-minutes had expired would put the Arrows ahead 12 - 1. Former Burlington Chief
David Lomas would score against his former team as six and a half minutes approached. That goal would be
followed shortly by Cody Jacobs completing his hat trick as just over 7-minutes expired in this period. It
would be only 7 seconds later that Cody Jamieson would add his second of the night, to bring the score to
15 - 1 for the Arrows Express. It would then be Cody Jacobs scoring the next two goals to bring his total to
5 goals on the night, and the Arrows Express lead would grow to 17 - 1. Craig Point would score his fourth
goal and Clayton Staats would complete his hat trick to end the scoring for the second period, and send the
teams to the dressing rooms for the intermission with the Arrows Express holding a 19 - 1 lead. As this period
progressed it would also see the Chiefs defense starting to regain some composure.
With the third period being more of a formality, it was up to the Arrows Express to continue to do the small
things correctly. While they would not continue with the goal parade, and run up the score on this weaker
Burlington team. It was the focus of the team to continue to execute plays and create scoring opportunities.
Sid Smith would score his first to put the score at 20 - 1. The five minutes later Craig Point would score his
fourth of the game. It would be the Burlington Chiefs that would score next as just over half the period expired
to set the score at 20 - 2. It would be Isaiah Kicknosway, and Clayton Staats with his fourth of the game that
would conclude the scoring in this game for the 23 - 2 final score.
It is now time for the Arrows Express to put this game behind them. Yes they were the dominant team tonight, but
a very different opponent will becoming to the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena on Sunday, the Orillia-Rama Kings are in
town for the Sunday evening contest.

2006 Season - Game #6 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Orillia-Rama Kings
Sunday May 28th, 2006
In the second game of a four game home stand for the Arrows Express, they would be welcoming the
Orillia-Rama Kings to the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena this past Sunday evening. After a convincing
victory over the Burlington Chiefs just two nights earlier, the Arrows Express would find themselves
facing a much more determined team in the Kings. The Arrows Express offense would quickly find out
they were going to have to work much harder this evening to creating the scoring opportunities that
had come so handily in the last game. The Arrows Express would still manage to find a way to score
enough goals, as they continued to gel and get used to some of the tendencies of the new faces in
this seasons lineup.
It would be Cody Jacobs opening the scoring as five and a half minutes had expired in the opening
period, and the Arrows Express would hold a 1 - 0 lead in the game. This lead would be something the
Arrows Express would now hold for the rest of the game. The second goal of the game would come just
under a minute later, as the Kings would receive a penalty, sending the Arrows Express power play to
work. The Kings player would barely have time to get a drink in the box, as it would only take
9-seconds for Craig Point to score on the power play, and make it a 2 - 0 lead. Another two minutes
would pass before Craig Point would score his second of the game, and make it a 3 - 0 lead. The
Kings would finally get onto the scoreboard, as close to 11-minutes had been played, making it 3 - 1
on their own power play. But it would not be the final scoring of the period as Mitch Nanticoke
would score as eleven and a half minutes had ticked off the clock, to make it 4 - 1, and then just
19-seconds later, Cody Jacobs would strike for the Arrows Express to run the lead to 5 - 1. This
would spark the first goalie change of the night for the Kings. It would seem to generate a small
spark for the Kings as they would score the next goal to conclude the scoring for the period, and
send the teams to the dressing room with the Arrows Express holding a 5 - 2 lead.
It would be the Kings scoring the first goal of the second period to bring them closer at 5 - 3.
Just over thirty seconds later Craig Point would complete his hat trick, on a shorthanded goal, to put
the Arrows Express ahead 6 - 3. Logan Kane would extend the lead further as just under 4-minutes
expired in the period to put the score at 7 - 3. Two quick goals by Cody Jamieson, and Cody Jacobs
completing his hat trick just 7-seconds apart would put the Arrows Express ahead 9 - 3, before Orillia
would score one of their own to make it 9 - 4. Another 30-seconds would pass before Cody Jacobs was
score his fourth of the game to put the Arrows Express in the lead at 10 - 4. It would be Orillia
completing the scoring in the second just past the fifteen and a half minute mark, to set the score at
10 - 5, as the teams would head to the dressing room for the second intermission.
The third period would see the Arrows Express duplicate the first period by outscoring the visitors
by a 5 - 2 margin. Craig Point would open the scoring with his fourth of the game. Orillia would
respond just over a minute later to make the score 11 - 6. It would be Craig Point scoring his 5th
goal as eight and a half minutes expired in the game, to put the score 12 - 6 for the Arrow Express.
The Arrows Express power play would next get to show its productiveness as goals by Jeremy Thompson at
13:40, and then Mitch Nanticoke at 16:23, both on power plays, would push the Arrows Express lead to
14 - 6. It would be Kent Squire on a power play, completing the Arrows Express scoring at 17:37 to
extend the lead to 15 - 6. The Kings would score the final goal of the game at 19:30 to set the final
score at 15 - 7.
It was a much tougher opponent tonight, but the Arrows Express continues to improve with each and every
game they play. A rematch against the Orangeville Northmen is next on the schedule for the Arrows
Express, and they will have to bring their top game if they hope to continue their unbeaten streak,
which now stands at 4 games. Tuesday night will see a battle of two teams who are amongst the top in
the Junior ‘A’ loop this season. It will be a good one, and game time is 8:00pm at the Iroquois
Lacrosse Arena, Home of the Six Nations Arrows Express.

2006 Season - Game # 7 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Orangeville Northmen
Tuesday May 30th, 2006
In the third game of the four-game home stand, the Arrows Express lacrosse team was happy to be
in the friendly air-conditioned confines of the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena for a game against the
visiting Orangeville Northmen. It is always a tough fast paced game when the Northmen come to
town, and tonight was no different. As a pair of the top two teams in the Ontario Junior ‘A’ loop
prepared to go to battle, the fans that had come to watch the game this evening were about to be
treated to something very special. The Arrows Express would once again make a few lineup shuffles,
and for the fifth straight game, they would continue to show their depth.
In the first period both teams would run the floor and take shots, with both goaltenders up to the
task of stopping the ball without much trouble. It was not until just past the midway point of
the opening period that Mitch Nanticoke would score to put the Arrows Express in the lead 1 - 0.
Both teams were flowing up and down the floor, moving the ball well, and trying to get high
percentage shots and scoring opportunities. The Arrows Express defense would be very successful on
this evening in keeping the Northmen shooters to the outside. This would allow goaltender Grant
Crawley the ability to see all the shots coming his way, making stopping the ball more a formality.
As the period would progress Grant would continue to play all the proper angles, and the defense
would continue to keep the shots to a minimum. It was the beginning of a long game for the Northmen.
With less than 10 seconds to play in the period, the Northmen would pull their goalie for an extra
attacker, in an attempt to tie the game before the intermission, but it would the Arrows Express
defense that would capitalize on this move, as they would force a turnover and Sid Smith would snag
up the loose ball and without hesitation, fire it the length of the floor into the open net, with
just 2 seconds remaining in the period, to push the Arrows Express lead to 2 - 0, as the teams
headed off the floor for the first intermission.
The second period would continue to follow suit, as the Arrows Express defense and Grant Crawley
would continue to give the Northmen offense fits. The action was flowing end to end, and there
were shots being taken at both goaltenders once again, but it would not be until 12:37 had expired
in the period that Craig Point would score his first goal on the night to put the Arrows Express
ahead 3 - 0. It would be exactly two minutes later that Craig Point would score again to extend
the Arrows Express lead to 4 - 0, and that would be the final goal of the period for either team.
The Arrows Express defense would continue to get stronger as the game wore on, and with team
captain Sid Smith leading the way, they would continually keep the Northmen shooters to the outside
and force them to take low percentage shots on Grant Crawley, who on this night was more than up for
the task of stopping those shots. As the period would continue, both of the teams would keep the
fast paced flow of the game, as they would push the ball up the floor looking for opportunities to
score, but the period would expire with Arrows Express carrying the momentum and the 4 - 0 lead into
the second intermission.
In the third period, the Northmen would continue to try and get their first goal, in hopes it would
spark a comeback, but on this night it was the Arrows Express controlling the game. As 6:49 had
expired in the period, Craig Point would complete his hat trick, to push the Arrows Express lead to
5 - 0, and now everyone in the arena was thinking about the possibilities of the Arrows Express
defense and Grant Crawley holding down the fort for the remaining 13-minutes and 11-seconds. With
the Northmen taking shots and pushing hard for any kind of goal, the Arrows Express defense would
continue to hold solid and in doing so, continue to shut the Northmen down. Five more minutes would
pass and it would be Kent Squire scoring at 11:46 to put the Arrows Express in the lead 6 - 0 in
this game. This would signal the end of the night for the Northmen’s starting goaltender. With
less than half a period left to play, the Arrows Express defense would now take its turn in the
spotlight, they would provide Grant all the help he would need, to continue to stop everything the
Northmen would throw his way this night. The Arrows Express would for the remainder of the game,
keep the Northmen offense on the perimeter, and force numerous turnovers, as the clock would wind
down. The final seconds of the clock would tick off and with one last feeble attempt, Grant Crawley
would make the stop and for the second time in an Arrows Express jersey Grant Crawley had a shutout.
It was total team effort this evening, and the Arrows Express team looks to be on the right track as
this 2006 season progresses.
The next game for the Arrows Express will be this coming Sunday night as they complete t heir home
stand with a game against the visiting Toronto Beaches. Game time is 7:00pm.

2006 Season - Game # 8 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Toronto Beaches
Sunday June 4th, 2006
In the final game of their four-game homestand, the Six Nations Arrows Express welcomed the
Toronto Beaches to the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena on this past Sunday evening. In a contest that
would see the Arrows Express looking to extend their winning streak to 6 straight games, the
Toronto Beaches team was coming into this game having lost their first game of the season just
two nights prior to the Whitby Warriors. With renovations taking place for the upcoming Minto
Cup tournament, the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena was without air conditioning, and things would be
heated all game long both on and off the floor.
In the first period it would be the Arrows Express striking first at the 4:28 mark, as Holden
Vyse would score the games first goal, and put the Arrows Express into the lead 1 - 0. As the
teams continued to feel each other out, it would be back and forth action, as both goaltenders
would settle in and stop all the shots the would encounter. As 12-minutes and 30 seconds would
expire in the opening period, it would be Jeremy Thompson scoring for the Arrows Express to push
the lead to 2 - 0. It would be 5-minutes of end-to-end action with both teams executing plays and
getting shots, before the Toronto Beaches would finally score at 17:33. It would not be the final
goal of the period, as Craig Point would find the back of the net at 18:09, to give the Arrows
Express the two-goal lead back at 3 - 1. That is the way things would wind up, as both teams would
head to the dressing rooms for the first intermission.
As the teams came back on the floor for the second period, things would continue to get more and
more heated. It would be only 27-seconds into the period that the Beaches would once again narrow
the score to 3 - 2. The first bit of nastiness would happen just a couple minutes later as #11 -
Damon Edwards of the Beaches would run Cody Jacobs into the end boards after a scoring attempt on
a partial breakaway. No penalty would be called on the play, and this would spark a tirade from
Randy Chrysler, and his verbal tongue lashing would eventually earn him a game misconduct, and also
a gross misconduct after his ejection from the game. This would serve to ignite the Arrows Express
as just over a minute later, Tory Gardener would score as the Arrows Express were two men short, to
push the score to 4 - 2. Three minutes later Cody Jacobs would gain a bit of retribution, as he
would score at 7:11, to make it 5 - 2. At the 9-minute mark exactly, Craig Point would score on a
power play to the put the Arrows Express in the lead at 6 - 2. A minor scuffle at 12:40 of this
period, would see #15 David Lomas of the Arrows Express, and the Toronto Beaches’ Robbie Jackson,
trade a few short punches, before the referees would jump in, as the players stumbled to the floor.
At 15:15, Mitch Nanticoke would extend the lead even further as his goal would make it 7 - 2. Just
less than a minute later at 16:13 on a power play, Kent would score his first goal of the game, to
make it 8 - 2 for the Arrows Express. As the final seconds ticked off the clock, it would be the
Toronto Beaches scoring with just 4-seconds remaining the period to set the score at 8 - 3, as the
teams would head off the floor for the second intermission.
The third period would once again see the Toronto Beaches strike early for the first goal as just
38-seconds had ticked off the clock to make it 8 - 4. It would be Cody Jamieson scoring exactly one
minute later, to restore the five-goal lead at 9 - 4. It would be Toronto Beaches scoring at 4:01,
to narrow the gap once again to 4-goals at 9 - 5. Two minutes later at 6:10, Lee Thomas would score
to restore the five-goal difference at 10 - 5. Just past the midway point of the period, at 10:04,
Kent Squire would score his second of the game to extend the Arrows Express lead to 11 - 5. The
Toronto Beaches would have one last gasp, just 20-seconds later, to make it 11 - 6. That goal was
very quickly responded to, as Cody Jacobs would score his second of the night, just 7-seconds later,
and restore the six-goal lead at 12 - 6. It would be just under a minute later, at 11:36, that Jeremy
Thompson would also score his second of the game, to make it 13 - 6. A few more minutes of lacrosse
would be played, as these two teams would continue to find reasons not to like each other, before Kent
Squire would complete his hat trick at 15:53, to set the final score of the game at 14 - 6. As the
game would continue to wind down, it would be Lee Thomas of the Arrows Express, and Toronto Beaches
Stephen Keogh that would find themselves in the next skirmish of the game with just 27-seconds remaining.
That is the way things would end on the night, as the Arrows Express would be successful in extending
their unbeaten streak to 6 straight games.
The next game for the Arrows Express will be on Wednesday June 7, when they will hope to extend the
unbeaten streak to 7 games, as they will travel to take on the Brampton Excelsiors in Brampton.
Game time is 8:00 pm.

2006 Season - Game # 9 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ Brampton Excelsiors
Wednesday June 7th, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express traveled to Brampton this evening, hoping to extend their unbeaten
streak to 7 games in a row. It would be a hot and humid contest in the Memorial Arena, but the
Arrows Express would show they were more than ready to complete the task at hand. With things very
warm inside, and the floor showing the early signs of being a slippery night, the Arrows Express
prepared to get the job done.
In the first period it would be Brampton scoring first, as just 15-seconds ticked off the clock.
The Arrows Express would take a few minutes to get used to the playing conditions on the evening,
as it would not be until 2:58 had expired in the period, that Cody Jamieson would score his first
goal of the game to tie the score at 1 - 1. The rest of the period would belong to the Arrows
Express, as both teams would continue to fight the slippery floor conditions down in the Brampton
corner of the arena. Three more minutes would be played before Clayton Staats would score on a
power play at 6:08, to send the Arrows Express into a 2 - 1 lead. The Arrows Express would not
be done, as they continued to find their footing, at 8:30 Cody Jacobs would make it 3 - 1. At 9:40,
Craig Point would extend the lead further to 4 - 1. Just over a minute later, at 10:50, Cody
Jamieson would score his second of the game to push the lead to 5 - 1. It would be four-minutes
of lacrosse, before Craig Point would score his second on a power play, at 14:18, to make it 6 - 1
for the Arrows Express. The Arrows Express would continue to make good on their power plays, at
18:49, it would be Clayton Staats scoring again with the man advantage to make it 7 - 1, and end
the scoring in the first period. That would send the teams to the dressing rooms for the first
intermission, with the Arrows Express holding all the lead they would need on this night.
As things got going in the second period, things would not improve with the floor as both teams
would continue struggle with the slippery floor. Over half the period would expire before Mitch
Nanticoke would extend the lead to 8 - 1, at 11:31, on yet another Arrows Express power play.
Three-minutes later, it would be Craig Point completing his hat trick, at 14:46, to make it 9 - 1
for the Arrows Express. Another few minutes of lacrosse would be played in the period, as the
Arrows Express would continue to frustrate and dominate the hometown Excelsiors, before Cody
Jacobs would score his second of the game on another power play, at 18:35, to make it 10 - 1 for
the Arrows Express. That would not be the final goal of the period, as the Excelsiors would score
with just 10-seconds remaining to make it 10 - 2, before the teams headed off the floor for the
second intermission.
In the third period, the Arrows Express would continue to work on their team defense. There would
only be one goal scored by each team in this period, and it would be Hughie Johnson of the Arrows
Express striking first at 6:35, to extend the lead to 11 - 2. Just over a minute later the Brampton
Excelsiors would score the final goal of the contest at 7:57 to set the final score at 11 - 3. For
the remainder of the game, the Arrows Express would continue to work on their team defense, they
would continue to make some fast breaks, when given the opportunity, but the real stress for the
remainder of the game was working on the little things defensively. As the final buzzer would sound
on this game, the Arrows Express would be successful in winning their 7th straight game, and keeping
the unbeaten streak alive.
The next game for the Arrows Express will be on Saturday June 11, when they will take their unbeaten
streak into the nation’s capital, for an afternoon game against the Ottawa Titans. In the first game
of the season, the Titans managed to steal a win from the Arrows Express, and this coming weekend the
Arrows Express will look to take that game back.

2006 Season - Game # 10 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ Ottawa Titans
Sunday June 10th, 2006
In a fast paced game in the nation’s capital, the Six Nations Arrows Express faced one of the
two opponents who have defeated them in the 2006 season. In the first game of the 2006 season
for the Arrows Express, they faced the Ottawa Titans, and while the Arrows Express were playing
without many of their team leaders, the Ottawa Titans managed to do something not very many teams
in the league manage to do. They put forth a strong effort and defeated the Arrows Express on
the floor of the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. That was in early May, and this afternoon it was time
for the Arrows Express to get some payback, and let the Titans know just how well they would need
to continue to play if they hoped to face the Arrows Express again this season.
In a very low scoring but entertaining game, the Arrows Express would open the scoring at 17:44, as
Kent Squire would score the first goal of the game. It would be just a few minutes later at 14:05,
that Hughie Johnson would score to send the Arrows Express into a 2 - 0 lead. This lead would not
hold out in the period as the Titans would start to narrow the gap with a goal at 11:42. In a fast
paced period with the action flowing end to end, it would be the Titans scoring again to tie the
game at 7:47. Just over a minute later the Titans would take their first lead of the game, on a goal
with just 5:49 remaining the opening period. Then it was the Cody Jamieson scoring with 4:07
remaining to finishing the scoring in the period, and tie the game 3 - 3. That is the way it would
wind up as the buzzer would sound, and the teams would head to the dressing rooms for the first
intermission.
As the second period would start, thing would continue to flow back and forth, with both teams
playing strong both defensively and offensively. It would the Titans taking the lead once again as
they would score at 13:36, to take a 4 - 3 lead. That lead would be short lived as just over a
minute later Jeremy Thompson would score his first of the game to tie the game once again at 4 - 4.
It would be exactly three minutes later at 9:09, that Jeremy Thompson would put the Arrow Express back
into the lead at 5 - 4 with his second goal of the game. That would end the scoring for the period as
both teams would continue to battle at both ends of the floor. The teams would head into the second
intermission with the Arrows Express holding a 5 - 4 lead.
In the third and final period, both teams would continue to run the floor looking for scoring
opportunities. It would be Ben VanEvery of the Arrows Express and Justin Delormier shutting the door on
both ends of the floor. Over half of the period would expire with neither team able to break the walls
that both defenses would putting up in front of their goaltenders. Finally at 8:35, Cody Jamieson would
score the insurance goal that the Arrows Express needed to put the final score at 6 - 4. For the
remainder of the period both teams would continue to press and look for a chance to score goals, but as
the buzzer sounded to end the game, the Arrows Express had managed to keep their unbeaten streak alive at
8 straight games.
The next game for the Arrows Express is at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena on Sunday June 18 at 7:00pm,
when the Mississauga Tomahawks come to town.

2006 Season - Game # 11 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Mississauga Tomahawks
Sunday June 18th, 2006
Just past the midway point of this season, the Six Nations Arrows Express have now won 8
straight games, and now sit in third spot of the 11 team league. Tonight the Mississauga
Tomahawks come to the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena to face this red hot Arrows Express team,
who are hoping to extend the winning streak to 9 straight games.
In the first period it would be the Arrows Express striking first at 2:18, as Kent Squire
would score the games first goal. Just about a minute later at 3:21, Cody Jacobs would
extend the lead to 2 - 0, with his first goal of the contest. As the Arrows Express
continued to execute plays, and work on improving all the small aspects of their game, it
would be Craig Point extending the lead to 3 - 0, at the 5:03 mark of the first period.
More than 5-minutes would pass as both teams ran the ball up and down the floor, until Jon
Williams would extend the Arrows Express lead to 4 - 0, at the 10:20 mark. The next goal
of the game would come from Kent Squire, as he would get his second goal of the contest at
12:15, making it 5 - 0, for the Arrows Express. Mississauga would finally manage to get
onto the scoreboard as 13:47 had expired in the period to narrow the gap to 5 - 1. Both
teams would again start to run the ball up and down the floor, another 5-minutes would
expire before Mississauga would narrow the gap to 5 - 2 at 18:26. Just 21-seconds later
Mitch Nanticoke would extend the lead back to 6 - 2, with his first goal of the game.
The scoring in the first period would be finalized at 19:42, as Mitch Nanticoke would score
his second goal of the game, setting the score at 7 - 2, and send both teams to the
dressing room for the first intermission.
In the second period, the Arrows Express would continue to show their dominance over the
visiting team, as they would score the first three goals of this period, first it would be
Jon Williams with his second of the game on a power play, at 1:11, next it would be Hughie
Johnson at 5:31, and then Mitch Nanticoke completing his hat trick at 6:17 on a power play,
to make the score 10 - 2 for the Arrows Express. Mississauga would score what would be
their last goal of the game at 8:34 to make the score 10 - 3. From that point on it would
be all Arrows Express as they would continue to score all game long, and work on solid team
defense. As 12:10 had expired in the period, with the Arrows Express in full control of
the game, Grant Crawley would get the rest of the night off, as it was time for Randy
Chrysler Jr. to enter the net for the rest of the contest. The next goal of the game would
come from the stick of Craig Point, on a power play as 12:21 had expired in the period,
making the score 11 - 3. As three more minutes would expire, it would be Jon Williams
completing his hat trick at 15:18, making it 12 - 3. Mitch Nanticoke would score his
fourth goal of the game at 15:47, sending the Arrows Express into a 13 - 3 lead. Just
under a minute later Kent Squire would complete his own hat trick, and send the Arrows
Express into a 14 - 3 lead as 16:30 had expired in the middle period. As the period wound
down to a close it would be Holden Vyse ending the scoring at 19:36, to make it 15 - 3,
before the teams would head to dressing room for the second intermission.
It would be all Arrows Express in the third period, as they continued to show the visiting
team, what it takes to be one of the top contending teams in the province. With the scoring
evenly spaced out all period long, it would be Craig Point completing his hat trick at 3:16
of the period, to put the Arrows Express ahead 16 - 3. A couple of minutes later Cody Jacobs
would score his second goal of the game at 5:14. All the rest of the goals of the game would
come from the stick of Kent Squire, his fourth goal of the game would come at 9:26 on a power
play, his fifth goal of the game on the power play as well would come at 10:37, and his sixth
and final goal of the game would come at 18:03. This would complete the scoring for the game,
and set the final score of the game at 20 - 3.
This win would extend the undefeated streak to 9 straight games, as the Arrows Express continue
their red hot play. The next game for the Arrows Express will be tomorrow night when they take
the streak on the road to face the Toronto Beaches at the Ted Reeve Arena. Game time is 8:00 pm.

2006 Season - Game # 12 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ Toronto Beaches
Monday June 19th, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express traveled to the Ted Reeve Arena tonight to take on the
Toronto Beaches in a contest that would see them hoping to extend their unbeaten streak
to 10 straight games. As the Arrows Express continue to march through the regular season,
they have been gaining more and more confidence as a team as things improve with each and
every game they step on the floor.
In the first period it would be the Arrows Express scoring first as Craig Point would score
the first goal of the game as just 24-seconds had expired in the period. This goal would not
be followed almost 8-minutes of end-to-end action as both teams looked to score the next goal.
That goal would come at the 11:41 mark as the Toronto Beaches would tie the game on their only
goal of the period. The game would remain tied for another 3-minutes, until Keegan Hill would
put the Arrows Express in the lead at 7:51. With the score now 2 - 1 for the Arrows Express,
it would seem they would finally shake their bus legs, and the offence would come to life, at
5:53 Craig Point would make it 3 - 1 with his second of the game. Just over a minute later at
4:27, Cody Jacobs would score his first of the game, to make it 4 - 1. At 3:38, Hughie Johnson
would score to extend the Arrows Express lead to 5 - 1. The final goal of the period would
come from the stick of Kent Squire, as he would make it 6 - 1 for the Arrows Express with just
23-seconds remaining in the opening period. That is how things would wind up as the teams would
head off the floor for the first intermission, with the Arrows Express holding complete control
of the game.
As the second period opened it would be the Arrow Express extending their lead even further as
Craig Point would complete his hat trick at 17:34, on a power play, making it 7 - 1. The Toronto
Beaches would narrow gap by a goal at 16:44 to make it 7 - 2. The Arrows Express would very
quickly reply to that goal just 19-seconds later, as David Lomas would score to make it 8 - 2.
It would be another quick span as just 14-second would tick off the clock before Cody Jacobs would
score his second of the game to push the lead to 9 - 2. The next goal of the game would come from
the Toronto Beaches as they would score at 15:32 to make it 9 - 3. That goal would be followed
under a minute later with another power play goal coming from the stick of Craig Point, his fourth
of the game, at 14:53. The final goal of the middle period would come over seven minutes later as
the Toronto Beaches would score what would be their final goal of the night to make it 9 - 4. That
goal would round out the scoring in the middle period, as the final seven minutes would see both
teams running up and down the floor, trying to create opportunities to score, only to be denied by
both goaltenders. The teams would head off the floor for the second intermission with the Arrows
Express holding a 10 - 4 lead, and once again having complete control of the flow of the game.
The Arrows Express would again emerge in the third period as the stronger team. They would continue
to run the floor and try to execute plays to create scoring opportunities. It would pay off as at
17:31, Kent Squire would score his second of the game to extend the lead to 11 - 4. That goal would
be followed by a goal at 11:59 by Lee Thomas as he would extend the Arrows Express lead to 12 - 4.
Just over a minute later at 10:52, Cody Jacobs would complete his hat trick to make it 13 4. The
final goal of the game would come at 7:52, as Cody Jacobs would score his fourth goal of the game
to set the final score at 14 - 4 for the Arrows Express. As the remaining time wound down in the
final period, the Arrows Express would once again go into a defensive shell. The defense would
concentrate on making it impossible for the Toronto Beaches to gain any kind of momentum, and they
would continually cut off the passing lanes, and allow Ben VanEvery to see every shot coming his
way.
The Arrows Express would continue their march through the regular season, and make it 10 straight
games undefeated. The next contest for the Arrows Express will be on Friday June 23, when they travel
to Orillia to take on the Rama Kings. Game time will be 8:00pm, as they hope to continue their streak.

2006 Season - Game # 13 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ Orillia Rama Kings
Friday June 23rd, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express traveled to Orillia tonight to take on the Orillia Rama
Kings in a contest that would see them hoping to extend their unbeaten streak to 11
straight games. The Arrows Express have been red hot lately as they continue to march
through the regular season.
In the first period it would be the Arrows Express scoring first as David Lomas would open
the scoring at 16:30. That goal would be followed just a minute later as Cody Jamieson
would make it 2 - 0 for the Arrows Express at 15:45. It would be Mitch Nanticoke making
it 3 - 0 at 14:32, before the Orillia Kings would gain their first and only goal of the
period at 13:16, making it 3 - 1. That goal would be followed by Kent Squires first goal
of the night at 12:07, making it 4 - 1. Three minutes later, Hughie Johnson would make it
5 - 1 for the Arrows Express as he would score at 9:12. The Arrows Express were not
finished in the period, as Cody Jamieson would score his second of the game to make it
6 - 1, with 8:26 remaining in the period. Craig Point would follow that goal with one of
his own to make it 7 - 1 with 6:29 remaining. The final goal of the period would come
from the stick of Cody Jamieson, as he would complete his hat trick at 5:15 to make it 8 - 1
for the Arrows Express. That is how things would wind up in the opening period, as the
teams would head off the floor, with the Arrows Express once again showing their dominance
over teams lower in the standings.
As the second period opened it would be the Orillia Kings starting to narrow the gap to 8 - 2
at 18:43. The Arrows Express would reply quickly, at 18:12 on a goal by Keegan Hill to extend
the lead back to seven goals at 9 - 2. The Arrows Express would once again extend the lead
to 10 - 2, as Cody Jamieson would score his fourth of the game at 15:07. That goal would
seemingly spark a flame into the Kings as they would start trying to chip away at the Arrows
Express lead. At 10:43, they would narrow the gap to 10 - 3. The Kings would score another
goal at 7:05 to make it 10 - 4. For another minute it would seem the Kings would start to carry
the play in the period, until Cody Jamieson would score his fifth goal of the game at 6:47, to
make it 11 - 4, to regain some momentum for the Arrows Express. Things would remain more
balanced in this period as both teams pressed hard for the next goal of the game, that goal
would eventually come from the sticks of the Orillia Kings as they would try once again to
spark something with just 2:37 remaining, they would make it 11 - 5, and complete the scoring
in the second period. Both teams would head off the floor for the second intermission, with
the Orillia Kings trying to pick up any kind of momentum, but with Arrows Express holding a very
big 11 - 5 lead in the game.
With the Orillia Kings trying to gain any momentum they could, they would try to spark a comeback
with the first goal in the third period at 19:10, to cut the lead to 11 - 6. From that moment on,
the Arrows Express defense and goalie Grant Crawley would take charge. They would close the doors
on the increasingly frustrated Kings, and as half the period expired, it would be Cody Jacobs
scoring at 10:08 to make it 12 - 6. Just under 30-seconds later, it would be Hughie Johnson taking
any momentum the Kings had been building away with his first goal of the game, to make it 13 - 6
with 9:34 remaining in the final period. The final goal of the period come with just 1:02 remaining
in the game from Cody Jacobs, his second of the night would set the final score at 14 - 6.
Once again a powerful offense, and an incredible team defense would work together to dominate a
middle place team. The Arrows Express know they have plenty of lacrosse left in the 2006 season,
and they will next get a change to extend their unbeaten streak to 12 straight games, against the
1st place team in the league. The Whitby Warriors will come to the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena on Sunday
for a rematch against the Arrows Express. This contest will have a great impact on the standings,
and as well, the Arrows Express will hope to get some revenge against the team that defeated them in
the second game of this season. Game time is 7:00pm.

2006 Season - Game # 14 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Whitby Warriors
Sunday June 25th, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express are still playing some terrific lacrosse, and next to
visit the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena is the visiting Whitby Warriors. The Arrows Express
are undefeated in their last 11 games, and are looking to make it 13 in a row against
the top team in the Ontario Junior A loop tonight. With their loss in the second game
of this season still fresh on their minds the Arrows Express have a chance to gain a bit
of redemption tonight, as they will face a team that is going to be joining them in the
post season this year. Any time these two teams meet, it is always a heated contest
between old rivals.
In the first period it would be the Arrows Express striking first on a goal by Cody
Jamieson at 1:21 to put the Arrows Express in the early lead. Just about 2-minutes
later Craig Point would extend the lead to 2 - 0 as his goal at 3:03 would start to
give the Arrows Express the momentum in this game. Whitby would score the next goal
of the game to narrow the gap to 2 - 1 at 4:02, but that goal would be replied just
40-seconds later as Cody Jacobs would strike for his first goal of the night at 4:43 to
restore the two goal lead at 3 - 1. The Arrows Express would work hard for the next
7-minutes of the game, and it would pay off at 11:28, as Cody Jacobs would strike for
his second of the game to put the Arrows Express up 4 - 1. Cody Jacobs would then
complete his hat trick a minute later at 12:41, his third goal of the game would put
the Arrows Express in the lead at 5 - 1. Whitby would start to try to take some
momentum, as they would start to play some tough defense, but at 19:24 Kent Squire would
break through with his first of the night to sway the momentum back into the Arrows
Express favor, that goal would put his team in the lead at 6 - 1. Right off the ensuing
face-off Cody Jamieson would score his second goal of the night, to complete the
scoring for the first period at 19:33. With the Arrows Express now holding a 7 - 1
lead, the teams would head off to the dressing rooms for the first intermission.
As the second period got under way, it would be Cody Jamieson completing his own hat
trick at 2:07 of the first period to put the Arrows Express in front of the Whitby
Warriors 8 - 1. With the tone set for the game, it would be Kent Squire scoring his
second of the game at 5:53 to extend the Arrows Express lead to 9 - 1. The Warriors
would finally solve the Arrows Express defense and goaltender Grant Crawley for the
second time in the game at 6:01, to narrow the gap to 9 - 2. It would be end to end
action for the next five minutes, until Jon Williams of the Arrows Express would score
at 11:28, to make it an 8-goal lead again at 10 - 2. Another three minutes would pass
before Kevin Bucktooth would score his first goal of the game at 14:13, to extend the
Arrows Express lead to 11 - 2. 30-seconds later Hughie Johnson would score his first
of the game at 14:42 to make the lead 12 - 2 for the red hot Arrows Express. Kent
Squire would then complete his hat trick in this game at 16:43 to push the Arrows Express
lead to 13 - 2, and finish off the scoring for the second period. With the Arrows
Express in complete control of this game, the teams would head to their dressing rooms
for the intermission.
With a comfortable lead, and goaltender Grant Crawley stopping everything coming his way,
the Arrows Express would once again concentrate on making improvements to an already
solid team defense. As just 1:33 had expired in this period, Craig Point would score his
second of the game to make it 14 - 2. With the game in the control of the Arrows Express,
it would be more frustrating for the Warriors as the Arrows Express kept the momentum and
were still able to put it on cruise control. At 12:23 of the period Jon Williams would
score his second of the game to extend the lead to 15 - 2. Whitby would the score what
would be their final goal of the game at 13:26 to make it 15 - 3. The final goal of the
game would come from Holden Vyse with his first of the game at 15:53 to set the final score
of the game at 16 - 3.
Another dominant performance by the Arrows Express, and with the victory comes a share of
first place in the league with the Whitby Warriors. Now at 12 games undefeated the next
opponent for the Arrows Express is the Kitchener-Waterloo Braves, who come to the Iroquois
Lacrosse Arena on Tuesday night for an 8:00pm game, where the Arrows Express hope to go 13
games without a loss.

2006 Season - Game # 15 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Kitchener-Waterloo Braves
Tuesday June 27th, 2006
The Arrows Express get ready for their next opponent in this 2006 season. With a 12 game
winning streak still intact, tonight the visiting Kitchener-Waterloo Braves come to the
Iroquois Lacrosse Arena hoping to be the team to break the streak off.
As the first period would get started, it would not be until 4:06 had expired that Cody
Jamieson would score for the Arrows Express to get things started. Two minutes later it
would once again be Cody Jamieson scoring at 6:13 to extend the lead to 2 - 0 on an Arrows
Express power play. Craig Point would be the next to score in the game at 7:27, to make
it 3 - 0 for the Arrows Express. The Braves would then score a goal at 7:53 to cut into
the lead as they made it 3 - 1. At 8:58, Jacob Kicknosway would score his first goal of the
game to extend the Arrows Express lead to 4 - 1. Mitch Nanticoke would then score his first
of the game at 11:22 to make it 5 - 1 for the Arrows Express. Things definitely seemed to
be on track for the streaking Arrows Express, and with Jeremy Thompson scoring at 13:48 to
make it 6 - 1, and the scoring again at 15:40 to put the Arrows Express in the lead at 7 - 1,
the Arrows Express would appear to have things in control once again over a middle of the pack
opponent. The Braves would manage to score a small victory as they would score the final goal
of the period at 17:32, to set the score at 7 - 2 as time would then expire on the period, and
the teams would head to their dressing rooms to regroup.
The Arrows Express would strike first in the second period as Jeremy Thompson would complete
his hat trick at 3:11. This goal would put the Arrows Express into the lead at 8 - 2. At
7:40, Jon Williams would score his first of the game to extend the Arrows Express lead to 9 - 2.
At 9:57, the Braves would solve goaltender Ben VanEvery for their third goal of the game to put
the score at 9 - 3. That goal would be followed at 11:06 by the Arrows Express, Jeremy Thompson
would score his fourth goal of the game to give the Arrows Express a 7-goal lead at 10 - 3. Just
under a minute later, the Braves would strike again for their fourth of the night at 11:49,
putting the score at 10 - 4. As both teams settled in defensively, the Braves would once again
score the final goal of the period at 13:07 to put the score at 10 - 5. The teams would head off
the floor for the second intermission with the Arrows Express and Braves both scoring three goals
in the middle period.
As the third period opened the Braves would appear to be gaining some momentum in the game, as
they would score the opening goal in the period to put the score at 10 - 6 at 2:54. The Braves
would continue to put pressure on the Arrows Express for much of this period, but the solid team
defense and the goaltending of Ben VanEvery would withstand the pressure being put on them by the
Braves. It would not be until 18:01 had expired in the period that Kent Squire would finally score
for the Arrows Express and put them ahead 11 - 6 in the game. That goal would be followed with the
final goal of the game at 19:32 by Mitch Nanticoke to set the final score at 12 - 6.
The Arrows Express had gotten the job done early tonight, and they did get through the game with yet
another victory to extend the unbeaten streak to 13 games. The next opponent scheduled for the
Arrows Express will be the visiting Peterborough Lakers. This game is the game that had been
rescheduled due to a power outage early in the season. The Lakers will come to the Iroquois Lacrosse
Arena looking to break the unbeaten streak at 13 games. This game will be played on Thursday June 29,
at 8:30 pm.

2006 Season - Game # 16 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Peterborough Lakers - Rescheduled
Thursday June 29th, 2006
Tonight the Six Nations Arrows Express will face the visiting Peterborough Lakers in a
game that was rescheduled from the Victoria Day Long Weekend. Tonight is also Fan
Appreciation Night, with free admission to all those in attendance. The Arrows Express
continue every year to have the best fan support in the league, and they are extremely
grateful to those that come out to cheer them on every single game. With a 13 game winning
streak on the line, the Arrows Express hit the floor tonight hoping to make it 14 games in a
row for the fans.
Just 14-seconds in the period Chris Courtney would score the games first goal, and put his
Arrows Express into the lead at 1 - 0. At 2:20, Corbyn Tao would score his first goal of
the game, to extend the Arrows Express lead to 2 - 0. As the teams settled in to do battle,
ten minutes would pass before the Lakers would get on the board with a goal at 12:36, to cut
the lead in half at 2 - 1. The Arrows Express would answer that goal with one of their own
at 16:15 by Jeremy Thompson on a power play. This goal would put the Arrows Express in the
lead at 3 - 1. Kent Squire would score the final goal of the period, as short handed effort,
at 17:19, and put the Arrows Express ahead by 3-goals at 4 -1. The teams would head off the
floor for the first intermission with things looking good for the Arrows Express.
The Peterborough Lakers would score the first two goals of the second period, the first at 1:45,
narrowing the gap to 4 - 2, the second at 2:50 to make it a one goal game at 4 -3. The Arrows
Express would finally get back on track in the scoring department at 6:56, as Kyle Schmelzle would
score to make it 5 - 3. Craig Point would score the next goal of the game just under a minute
later at 7:51, to make it 6 -3 for the Arrows Express. The Lakers would continue to work hard
and not get discouraged, and their work would pay off as at 9:18 they would get a goal to make
it 6 - 4. That goal would very quickly responded to, as just 6-seconds would pass and Kyle
Schmelzle would score his second of the game to make it 7 - 4 for the Arrows Express. The Lakers
would manage to get the final goal of the period at 14:43 setting the score at 7 - 5, as the teams
would settle in defensively for the remainder of the period.
Just about half the third period would expire, before Cody Jamieson would score his first goal of
the game, at 9:42, to put the Arrows Express in the lead at 8 - 5. But only a little over a minute
later the Lakers would show they were not done yet, they would score as exactly 11-minutes had
expired in the period to make it 8 - 6. At the 14-minute mark of the third period Jon Williams
would score the games final goal, to set the final score at 9 - 6. Things were far from over on
the night as this contest would only get more heated in the final minutes of the game. With the
Lakers leading scorer and tough guy Shawn Evans not happy about being kept off the score sheet all
night long, his frustrations finally boiled over with just 12-seconds remaining in the game. With
the Arrows Express coaching staff seeing it plainly coming, they had one of their very own willing
combatants on the floor to willing accept the Shawn Evans fit. Dave Ellis of the Arrows Express
knew his assignment and was more than ready to go to battle with one of the leagues misfits. In a
fight that lasted for only a few minutes, Shawn Evans showed he was ready to call on a fight, but
not really ready to live up to his tough guy role, he managed to find an opponent but he did not
want to do the courtesy removal of the buckets as most heavy weights are willing to do before they
get down to business. Both players did manage to land a few punches, but if it is the drawing of
blood that makes you the victor, then I guess Shawn Evans would get a decision on that only. Way
to go Dave Ellis, for stepping up and doing what had to be done.
The Arrows Express did get the victory where it counts, on the scoreboard. They kept their unbeaten
streak alive at 14 straight games, and they will now face the surging St. Catharines Athletics
tomorrow night in the second to last home game for this season. Game time tomorrow at the ILA is
8:00. Come see if the Arrows Express can make it 15 in a row.

2006 Season - Game # 17 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs St. Catharines Athletics
Friday June 30th, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express played host to the visiting St. Catharines Athletics last
evening, still riding a 14 game unbeaten streak. The stage was set for a great battle
between two teams with a great rivalry. The surging Athletics have been playing some
inspired lacrosse this season, after missing the post season last year, they come to the
ILA tonight looking to be the team to end the Arrows Express winning streak.
In the first period it would be the Arrows Express getting things started as just 23
seconds into the game, Chris Courtney would get things rolling to give the Arrows Express
a 1 - 0 lead. The next goal of the game would come from the Athletics as they would tie
the game at 1:46. With the action quickly going end to end, the Athletics would break the
tie with a goal at 3:49 to take a 2 - 1 lead. With both teams quickly pushing the ball up
and down the floor it would be Cody Jacobs giving the Arrows Express fans a reason to make
some noise, as his goal at 7:42 would tie the game once again at 2 - 2. Another three
minutes of back and forth action would take place, before Cody Jamieson would break the tie
with his first goal of the game at 10:21, to give the Arrows Express a 3 - 2 lead. The
Athletics would not be fazed by this goal as they would continue to keep up the intensity
in the game, and it would pay off late in the period as they would score at 18:03 to tie the
game once again at 3 - 3, and that is how the score would wind up in the first period as
they teams headed off the floor for the intermission.
As the second period opened things would not slow down any as both teams looked to set the
tone for the game. It would be the Athletics scoring first in the period at 1:56 to take
the lead once again at 4 - 3. Just over a minute later the Athletics would strike again to
take make it 5 - 3 at 2:29. As the action continued back and forth the period seemed to be
flying by with both teams pressing for the next goal of the game. That goal would come from
the stick of Kent Squire at 8:06, to bring the Arrows Express within one at 5 - 4. As
quickly as that goal came the Athletics quickly would reply just 9-seconds later they would
restore their 2 goal lead at 6 - 4. With more than half the period remaining both teams
would continue to press each other hard, but it would be the defense and goalies taking
over the remainder of the period, as neither team would score, and the period would end
with the Athletics taking the lead into the second intermission.
With the Arrows Express in unfamiliar ground, they would come into the third period trailing
a team for the first time in 14 games. Again both teams would run the floor pressing hard to
score the next goal, it would finally be Cody Jamieson bringing the crowd back into the game
at 8:30. This would bring the Arrows Express within one goal, with plenty of lacrosse left
to play. Three more minutes of lacrosse would be played, and it would be the Athletics
restoring their two goal lead at 7 - 5 with just over 8-minutes of lacrosse left to play.
A couple minutes later Cody Jacobs would score what would become the final goal of the game
to bring the Arrows Express within one at 7 - 6. As the Arrows Express battled hard for the
remainder of the period, the Athletics would be able to hang on to the one goal lead, til the
buzzer ended the game. The Arrows Express winning streak was over at 14 games.
The Arrows Express will try to get things back on track Sunday July 2 when they will play host
to the Brampton Excelsiors. Game time is 7:00pm.

2006 Season - Game # 18 - Six Nations Arrows Express vs Brampton Excelsiors
Sunday July 2nd, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express took the floor tonight with a new frame of mind. With
their unbeaten streak coming to an end a few nights prior, they looked to get things
rolling once more against the visiting Bramption Excelsiors.
In the first period it would be the Arrows Express getting things rolling once again.
At 2:10 Cody Jamieson would score the first goal of the game to give the Arrows Express
a 1 - 0 lead. The next goal of the game would come from the Excelsiors at 7:06. This
would be the only time they would be able to stick with the Arrows Express team. At 14:35,
David Lomas would give the Arrows Express the lead for good. In a period that seen the
Arrows Express looking to get the momentum rolling, they would score again with just
10-second remaining to take a 3 -1 lead. That goal would come from the stick of Jeremy
Thompson. As the buzzer would end the first period, the Brampton Excelsiors had to be
happy with the score, as they were managing to stick with the top team in the league even
if for just a little while.
As the second period got underway, it would seem that the Arrows Express would continue to
find some chemistry on the floor. More than half the period would expire before Keegan
Hill would extend the lead to 4 -1 at 10:48. 4-minutes later it would be Sid Smith scoring
to push the lead to 5 - 1 at 15:28. That would complete the scoring in a sloppy second
period. The Arrows Express defense and goaltender Grant Crawley played solidly to keep
things in check for the Arrows Express.
Finally in the third period it would seem that the Arrows Express would find their scoring
touch. 20-seconds into the period it would be Cody Jacobs getting things rolling. A few
minutes later it would be Mitch Nanticoke scoring his first of the game to give the Arrows
Express a 7 - 1 lead at 3:05. Under a minute later Kent Squire would score to make it 8 – 1.
The Brampton Excelsiors would manage to score the next two goals of the game, at 8:40 and
10:27 respecitively, but it would be too little too late, as Chris Courtney would score at
12:23 to give the Arrows Express at 9 - 3 lead. Jon Williams would be the next Arrows
Express player to score in the game as at 13:14 he would make it 10 - 3. The final goal of
the game would come from the stick of Mitch Nanticoke, his second goal of the game at 15:22
come set the final score of the game at 11 - 3. The Arrows Express defense and Grant
Crawley would shut the door for the remainder of the game, and the Arrows Express were back
on track with another win.
The next game for the Arrows Express is tomorrow night with they travel to
Burlington for a 8:00 pm game.

2006 Season - Game # 19 - Six Nations Arrows Express at Burlington Chiefs
Monday July 3rd, 2006
The Six Nations Arrows Express traveled to Burlington tonight to take on the Chiefs.
With the Arrows Express coming off a convincing 11 - 3 victory last evening over the
Brampton Excelsiors, the game tonight against the Chiefs would serve to keep the momentum
rolling as the season comes to an end and playoffs just a couple weeks away.
In the first period it would be all Arrows Express. At 1:01 Cody Jacobs would score his
first of the game. About 5-minutes later it would be Cody Jamieson extending the lead
to 2 - 0 at 5:54. As the Arrows Express ran the ball up and down the floor, it would be
Cody Jamieson scoring his second of the game 11-minutes later at 16:23 to set the score
for the period to take at 3 - 0. As has been the story for most of the times these teams
play, the Arrows Express completely dominated the Chiefs early. As the teams headed into
intermission, the Arrows Express would need to find a way to start playing high intensity
lacrosse against a lower seed in the league.
As the second period got underway, it would be the Chiefs scoring first at 26-seconds to make
it 3 - 1. The That goal would be followed by two Arrows Express goal, the first by Cody
Jacobs to give the Arrows Express a 4 - 1 lead, and the next by Jon Williams to extend the
lead to 5 - 1. The Chiefs would continue to try and stick the Arrows Express and a goal at
3:31 would narrow the gap to 5 - 2. Just a few seconds later Craig Point would reply to that
goal to restore the lead to 6 - 2. Three more Arrows Express goals would all but spell the
end for the Chiefs on the night, as Jacob Kicknosway would push the lead to 7 - 2, Cody
Jamieson would complete his hat trick to make it 8 - 2, and then Kent Squire would score his
first of the game to make it 9 - 2, before the Chiefs would manage to score again at 10:21
to make it 9 - 3. With Arrows Express running through plays, and starting once again to take
the game lightly, the Chiefs would score again a 14:19 to edge just a bit closer at 9 - 4.
That goal would be their final on the night, but the Arrows Express were not done. Isaiah
Kicknsoway would score at 16:34, to extend the lead to 10 - 4, then Cody Jamieson would score
his fourth of the game at 18:38 to set the final score for the period at 11 - 4.
Into the third period, the Arrows Express defense and goaltender Grant Crawley would close the
door, and let the offense do the talking. Isaiah Kicknosway would score his second of the game
making it 12 - 4. That goal would be followed by Craig Point’s second of the game making it
13 - 4. As half the period would come close to expiring it would be Craig Point once again
making it 14 - 4, by completing his hat trick. With the game well in hand the Arrows Express
would once again be able to ease off on the offense and start to work on the little things they
will need to execute in the playoffs. With just 3:40 remaining in the period Logan Kane would
score his first of the game to make it 15 - 4. With the final minute of the game coming up, it
would be David Lomas scoring the games final goal at 1:11 to set the final score at 16 - 4.
Another victory for the Arrows Express as they start a new winning streak. The next game for the
Arrows Express will be on Friday July 7, when they will travel further down the QEW to take on
the Mississauga Tomahawks in Mississauga. Game time will be 8:00pm.

their remaining games, if they hope to secure top spot in the league, and have home

the Tomahawks would manage to score to make it 12 - 4 before the second intermission.
Onto the third period, at 4:53 Jeremy Thompson would get things started for the Arrows
Express, and extend the lead to 13 - 4. Just seconds later, at 5:10, Sid Smith would
score for the Arrows Express and push the lead to 14 - 4. The Tomahawks would score
their final goal of the evening at 7:47, to make it 14 - 5. Five minutes of lacrosse

in Kitchener-Waterloo. Game time is scheduled for 7:00pm.

2006 Season - Game # 21 - Six Nations Arrows Express at Kitchener-Waterloo Braves
Sunday July 9th, 2006
As the season comes close to an end, the Six Nations Arrows Express find themselves
once again in familiar territory as of late. They are near the top of the standings,
and have a legitimate shot at winning the league points title. With three games
remaining including tonight’s contest against the Braves, the Arrows Express have their
fate in their own hands. After a convincing victory over the lowly Mississauga
Tomahawks just two nights ago, the Arrows Express appear to have things back on
track once again.
In the first period, both teams would come out and look to get an edge early. After
a spirited effort by the Braves at the ILA two weeks ago, the Braves hoped to carry
some of that momentum into this game. It would take 8:21 to get things started and
it would be the Braves striking first to take a 1 - 0 lead. That goal would be replied
to at 9:59 from the stick of Cody Jamieson bringing the Arrows Express to a 1 - 1 tie.
Not to be discouraged, the Braves would reply a short time later at 10:21 to once again
take the lead at 2 - 1. The Arrows Express would then start to work on the Braves. At
14:06, Cody Jacobs would score to bring the Arrows Express even again on the night. That
goal would be followed by Logan Kane’s goal at 16:08 to give the Arrows Express the lead
at 3 - 2, and to end the scoring in the first period. The teams would head off the floor
for the first intermission with both of them able to feel confident that if they could
keep up the intensity, they could win the game this evening.
In the second period, it would take only 26-seconds for Cody Jamieson to score his second
of the night to give the Arrows Express a two goal lead at 4 - 2. Exactly thirty seconds
later, Kyle Schmelzle would score to put the Arrows Express ahead by three goals at 5 - 2.
With the Braves looking to stop the momentum from building, they would score at 7:56 to put
the score at 5 - 3. With the Arrows Express getting stronger in the game as it wore on,
just about a minute later, Jon Williams would score to make it 6 - 3 for the Arrows Express.
That goal would be followed just 14-second later, at 8:55, Cody Jacobs would score his second
of the game to give the Arrows Express a 7 - 3 lead. Not giving up on the evening the Braves
would manage to score the games next two goals at 11:19 and 14:01 respectively to give bring
the score to 7 - 5. As the period would wind down, Cody Jamieson would make not mistakes in
completing his hat trick at 18:15 to set the final score for the period at 8 - 5 for the Arrows
Express. As the teams headed off the floor for the second intermission, the Arrows Express had
started to gain control of this game.
As the third period got underway, the Braves would score the first goal at 2:36 in hopes of
sparking some kind of comeback. With the score now at 8 - 6, it would not be enough on this
evening as goaltender Grant Crawley would close the door for the rest of the evening. The Arrows
Express would not be done scoring in the period however. At 3:20, Cody Jamieson would score his
fourth of the game to push the lead to 9 - 6. Seven minutes of both teams pushing for the next
goal would finally come to and end at 11:56, as Cody Jamieson would make it 10 - 6 with his fifth
goal of the game. At 14:50, Jon Williams would score to make it 11 - 6 for the Arrows Express,
and rounding out the scoring at 17:25, Cody Jamieson would score his sixth goal of the game to set
the final score of the game at 12 - 6.
Another night of hard work would pay off for the Arrows Express. They remain tied for first
place in the league, and with a victory in their last game of the regular season against the
St. Catharines Athletics on Wednesday night at the Bill Burgoyne Arena in St. Catharines, the
Arrows Express can win the league title. Game time is 8:00pm.

2006 Season - Game # 22 - Six Nations Arrows Express @ St. Catharines Athletics
Wednesday July 12th, 2006
In the final game of the regular season, the Arrows Express would find themselves
facing an old foe, in the Athletics. The game this evening would not just be a
formality for the Arrows Express, if they hoped to capture the regular season
champions title, they would have to defeat an Athletics team that had defeated
them on the floor of the ILA just a couple of weeks ago.
In the first period a determined Athletics squad stormed onto the floor, and
immediately took control of the game in front of their hometown fans. At 2:57,
the Athletics would open the scoring, and take a 1 - 0 lead. Ten minutes of
intense back and forth action would follow before the Athletics would strike
again at 12:45, to extend the lead to 2 - 0. With the momentum in their favor,
and the Arrows Express seemingly back on their heels, the Athl
